Dr. Paolo Boffetta is currently a
professor and associate director at Tisch Cancer Institute, Icahn School of
Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York. He studied medicine at the University of
Turin, where he was also a resident at the Second Division of Internal
Medicine. He was also a research fellow and research assistant at the
university's Cancer Epidemiology Unit.
Upon moving to the US, Dr. Paolo
Boffetta worked as a research assistant at the Division of Epidemiology of the
American Health Foundation in New York.
From 1988 to 1989, he worked as a graduate research assistant at the
Division of Health Policy and Management of Columbia University, School of
Public Health in New York, where he also received his master's in public
health.
